Summary:
The regeneration of this site comprised the demolition and site clearance of a former Service Station to create nine new affordable homes in the heart of the village of Guilsfield, for local people.
The existing buildings were cleared of asbestos and then demolished. The former underground fuel storage tanks were decommissioned and removed from site and the existing forecourt broken up.
The new dwellings were designed and constructed to the ‘Passivhaus’ standard utilising a highly insulated 300mm thick twin-stud external wall make-up which helped the new homes to achieve an EPC A-rating for thermal performance.
Regeneration works commenced on site in June 2023 and the dwellings were completed in March 2025.
Metrics were appointed as Employer’s Agent for the project.
